SOLID STERLING SILVER

This is an alloy of silver and nonprecious metal. The world standard dictates that sterling silver must be exactly 92.5% pure silver. Only sterling silver will carry the mark of " sterling " or " .925. "

14 KARAT GOLD FILL

This is a type of gold adornment where a center of nonprecious metal is mechanically bonded to a layer of 14 karat gold. There is a significant cost savings in 14 karat gold fill.

Oxidized

This is a technique by which " liver of sulfur " is applied to sterling silver. The process darkens/blackens the silver and it is used to give the silver a vintage appeal.
